I purchased an electric sharpener from www.discountknives.com, in October of owner Brian Skelton, company name is The Bo'sn'Locker, located in Silver Spring, Maryland. I recieved it, tried it and was not happy with its performance. I returned it with a letter stating i was unhappy with it, and requested a credit to my credit card that i paid for it with.
I recieved an email from mr. Skelton refusing to give me a credit, even though i had, and still have in my possession his guarantee that if I an not completely satisfied with my puchase, a full refund would be given.
I contacted my credit card company explaining the situation, and they credited my account.
In the meantime, November Mr. Skelton sent the sharpener back to me, and I refused delivery at the post office.
In january I recieved a summons from the District Court of Maryland saying i was being sued for $79.73, the price of the sharpener, $10.00 court costs, $25.00 for his attorney fees, and $8.00 for delivery of the summons, and if I wish to defend myself I would have to travel from my home in upstate NY to Maryland, and being disabled I am unable to do so. I contacted Mr. Skelton after recieving the summons, telling him to send back the sharpener, and i would pay for it, but he never acknowledged my request.
I do not want the sharpener, and I think he is running a very unreputable business.
Thank you
