I bought a 2004 Certified Honda CR-V from Ed Martin Honda in Indianapolis, Indiana in October. We have had the vehicle for 8 months.

Last week the air conditioner stopped working on the vehicle. My wife took the vehicle back to Ed Martin Honda to see what is wrong with the air conditioner. They told us the air compressor broke on the vehicle.

We were told that Honda would cover only 75% of the cost of the repair. This is NOT acceptable.

I researched online and found out that the air compressor breaking is a very COMMON problem with the CR-V. Specifically, on 2002 through 2004 models. Since it is obvious it is a defect why have you not recalled the compressor? Please see below several links to websites with other people who are having the same problem with their vehicles.

I hope your company will reconsider its stance on the air compressor and do what is RIGHT. Recall the compressor for those CR-V's affected by this problem.
