On March 20th the car got a problem with the automatic transmission and I did tow to the authorized by the KIA warranty repair facility at the Big Kia at Bell - Phoenix.

It was clearly explained to the service advisor that the car bangs when dissertated from 50 m/h to 30 m/h and the transmission problem light on the dash board is lighting on. It was promissed that by 18:00 on 03/20/08 I will be advised about the diagnostic and the repairs to be done. At this time I did not consent any repairs.

On March 24th I was called by the service director Britt Hirte, who told me that the car has an electrical problem. Certainly I disagreed with him and once again I explained to him that there is transmission problem and described the problem in details.

As long as by April 3td I did not get any follow-up call on April 4th at noon I paid a visit, where Mr. Britt Hirte again start convincing me that here is an electrical problem. On my question what exactly is the electrical problem occurred, he told me that he did not know exactly, but there is an electrical problem. Again I did disagree and explained to him in details the being of the real problem with the transmission. As long as the problem was not explained clearly I did not consent any repairs.

On April 10th Mr. Hirte called me that the car is fixed. I requested a test drive where I was a passenger and Mr. Hirte the driver. I less than 5 miles the car reproduced the declared on March 20 problem with the transmission on the intersection of Tatum Blvd and Bell Rd. Mr. Britt Hirte called the shuttle guy from Kia and went back to his office, promising to send me a tow car. The tow car arrived after 1 hour 30 min. And the Tow Car Driver explained to me that he was called by Kia a quarter of a hour ago and showed to me his logbook. I would like to stress on your attention, that at this time I did not accept and works done, thus the car was in full possession and responsibility of Kia, but Mr. Hirte, was nearly to give the keys to a guy on the petrol station to give them to the tow driver. It is nothing else as a total irresponsibility of the KIA's service director, same as a trial to serve the customer with lies that the car is repaired.

So on the next day he told me that he is going to send the car to anther facility on what I consent.

On April 14th he called me and told me that he did a local troubleshooting and hi has found a problem in the main fuse box where "due to a short, the engine is loosing ground" what is a technical absurd, and I have to pay $300 for diagnostic, $75 for new fuse box labor dollars in total $569.83. I do not want to spend you time with pure technical details, but I am ready to discuss them with anybody of you. Again I did not consent any repairs and I request to see in personal the fuse box in question before to take the repair decision.

On next day I visited the workshop where Mr. Hirte and one of the technicians showed to me a white box and told me that there are two shorts inside. I give to the technician an electrical multimeter and asked him to show to me, where the problem with the "short" is. Surprisingly he told me that he cannot measure, because the shorts are inside the box. But he has diagnosed the shorts inside by shaking the box (what extraordinary skills).in fact the fuse box of the car was not disassembled and the demonstrated white box was not a part disassembled from my car. I asked Mr. Hirte why he does lay to me on what he asked me to leave the facility since I do have an indecent behavior.

On the following discussion with the General Manager Mr. Aslam Ducara and Mr. Britt Hirte I have been asked to take my car and go where ever I want to repair it formally affirming Kia's dishonor on the warranty agreement, but before it I was extorted to pay $250 DIAGNOSTIC (!) and $47 TOW FEE (!). Is really the technician was shaking the box whole three hours and why to diagnose electrical short he did not use a multimeter? As result of it why I should pay for his incompetence? Why KIA charges me for a tow when the car got to the workshop and was taken from there using the benefits of my AAA membership.

When I open the hood at home I found that the there a missing and unthighted screws, totally destroyed daylight and extra vision light set, spilled everywhere oil and power steering fluid, missing air intake hose on the air filter block, thorn plastic walls, broken right extra vision light and surprisingly missing radio antenna. What a diagnostic isn't?
