Pep Boys Charged $300 for repairs not needed, did not fix the original problem... Crooks!

I recently took my vehicle in to your Pep Boys store location # 761 on Tuesday November 27 at 8:02am due to my oil light on my vehicle was coming on at a lower RPM, then would go off during higher RPM's. I took my vehicle in and stated at 8am that I thought it was the oil pump; I was assured by the master technician that my vehicle would be ready by 1:30pm on Tuesday, November 27th as stated on my invoice.

I was called at 11am on the 27th and was told the master technician was "not in, but someone else would run the diagnostic test and call me back" I never received a call. Around 4pm I called and was told the diagnostic test didn't reveal any problem and that the technician evaluating my vehicle could not get the oil light to come on. I again explained that after warming the car up a few minutes at a higher RPM then letting it run at a lower RPM would definitely show the oil light come on, I was told by the technician that someone would "re-run" the diagnostic and call me back.

I received a phone call at 7pm and was told the diagnostic test revealed the oil pressure sensor needed to be replaced as well as 2 belts. Trusting that this was the problem, I agreed for them to proceed with the needed repairs. The technician stated that he needed to order 1 of the belts but my vehicle would be ready by noon on 11/28 and to expect a call. I never received a call, so I called at 1:30pm and the technician stated it would be ready in about 30 minutes, this time I did receive a call approximately 35 minutes later.

I picked my vehicle up at 8pm, drove it less than 3 miles and the oil light came back on a stop light just like it had previously. I immediately called Pep Boys store # 761 back and explained that the light came back on and the problem still exists, to which the technician that answered the phone exclaimed "UH-OH" I waited a moment after a brief silence and stated I would return my vehicle to be repaired at 8am sharp this morning, to which the technician said "oh, ok?" which I did.

I am genuinely concerned that the technicians at this particular Pep Boys location didn't run the proper test and diagnostics simply because my vehicle is doing the exact same thing when I brought it in, telling me the technicians at Pep Boys store # 761 didn't even test my vehicle after making the repairs they've already made, which now seem totally unnecessary.

I was charged $95 for a flow chart diagnosis which obviously failed to determine the problem and $300 worth of repairs were done only to have my vehicle in the same condition as it was brought in for.

I explained to one of the technicians this morning upon leaving my vehicle that I do not think I should pay any further charges to repair my vehicle simply because I was without my car the entire first day without any call or notice that it wasn't going to be evaluated or repaired as promised in writing on my invoice, I paid almost $300 for repairs that obviously were incorrect and they ultimately did not repair my car after having it 3 days now.

Today at 2pm, I called AGAIN and spoke with tech 'Noel' who explained to me that NOW that costs for repairing my car will be over $3,000 (three thousand) dollars. NOW the oil pump needs to be replaced, which if you recall is what I explained to the master technician when I initially brought my vehicle in on 11/27, they have now determined that is the problem along with various trumped up details such as "cleaning and washing the engine because oil is everywhere". This is absolutely absurd and ridiculous to say the least! The customer service at store # 761 is beyond abysmal, it's non-existant.

Will someone please contact this store or it's 'manager" and have my car repaired properly, which is the oil pump, which at this point after having my car for 3 full days, I should NOT be charged for because I paid for 2 hours of labor already on the car when they could have replaced the oil pump yesterday while they were replacing the unnecessary parts that totaled over $300.
