Best Auto was paid to repair a crankshaft, halfway through they wanted to replace the timing gear which I ok'ed on the phone. When I picked up the vehicle I had to pay for a water pump to "because it was bad and unavoidable to replace" less that 24 hours the engine started ticking and then two cylinders did not fire anymore when I towed the vehicle back to the shop I was told that I had drain my oil out and they would not warranty the work they had done. Needless to say I was pissed. I call my credit card company and told them exactly what happened and they had me goto 2 other engine shops to get the vehicle examined. The other shops told me that the engine had the rocker arm stud nuts loosened and this resulted in the rockers rotating off the valves and bending of the studs as well as the push rods for several valves. I faxed the description and estimates back to the credit card company and they immediately reversed the charges and when best auto tried to complain about the reverse charges the credit card company showed them the reports with estimates to repair and offered they go to court to recoup their losses if they so wished. I still have my 3000 and it's 6 months after the fact. I guess they knew they were in the bad and didn't file.
Don't use these scam artists. The loose nuts were done so I would pay them to fix the motor.
