Tim Mitchell Service, Advertising, It's all a bunch of lies! They are a rip off!

I purchased another car from this location in 11-07. I totaled the first one I purchased from them, and decided to purchase another through the same finance company. I was told by the Finance Manager that I was not approved for another car loan. I then called the company and was told that I had been approved that morning. I called them back, and spoke to my car salesman, Dave Fierle. He told me that we had been approved and to come get our new car. 2) I had GAP insurance on the first car, so my car was paid off. February, I receive a letter from the same finance company stating that my car payment is 49 days past due for my old account! I called the GAP rep and he stated they had mailed a check to Kernersville Dodge, and they put the remaining amount with it for the cancellation of the service warranty, and then mail it to the finance company. GAP mailed that check on 11-15-07. I called KD and they stated they had not received anything, but they would double check. After waiting four hours on a phone call, I called back again and was told they same thing. I explained that it had been mailed off in November and someone needed to find it. I was told I would be called back. I finally called Dave Fierle, considering he is the only one that takes any type of pride in his job, and he told me he would check on it for me, even though it was completey out of his department. I got a call the next morning. Amazingly, the check appeared that morning! It was then mailed off, with no apologies, showing on my credit report as delinquent. 3) My car only has 16,000 miles on it. The transmission was skipping. It started doing it at 13,000 miles. I was fed up with everything, so I emailed the owner. He told me to bring it in, and they would make me a priority. What a joke! My horn was also getting stuck, and they had to replace my steering mechanism, which had to be ordered, and another trip down there. They said they fixed the transmission; however, it is still doing the same thing. I took it back two weeks ago, and they said they couldn't find the problem; and that they ran all kinds of tests, but could not diagnose the transmission issue, not to mention the side panel on the driver's seat popped off and they had to order a part to replace that too. This weekend, the transmission acted funny again, as it does often, and I was fed up. I emailed the owner and he stated that, "I think the best thing we can do is to trade you into another vehicle. It would appear to me that you will always have trust issues with your current car and I can certainly understand why. I am sorry that your PT has not performed to the standard you or I would have liked. I am hopeful we can trade you into something else that you will be completely satisfied with. I am going to be in and out of the office all week so I am going to have Scott Pickard who is one of our sales managers to contact you to set up a time for you to come in. I will go over with Scott your history and what type of figures to use when working out your new car deal. We will be making every concession on price to insure you receive the best treatment. I appreciate your patients and understanding. I look forward to having you as a long term satisfied customer." Notice he says "WHEN" working out my new car dea; not "IF" we work out new car deal.BY this response, I figured I might actually get some type of result FINALLY! My response was "Okay Tim. I am counting on you guys. I would imagine that you would give me a good deal considering everything. Do you have any suggestions on what might be something reliable? We want good gas mileage, as well as affordability. When I brought my car in for service last time, I noticed a Jeep out front. Be completely honest with me. I value your opinion." He then responded with, " I think the best thing to do is to pick out what you will be comfortable with first and then consider gas mileage second because if youre not happy with the size, comfort, ride and safety then the fuel economy will not matter. Too many people buy what they dont want for one reason or another and then realize they are unhappy with there purchase. I dont want to see that happen to you and your family. Most vehicles even SUVs are getting over 20 miles to the gallon now. I know you have negative equality with your PT so we may have to go with a new car that has a big rebate but come in and lets not rule out anything right now.

Tim Mitchell

My husband and I went down there, and we were told we needed to drive the car a year and half longer, and they might be able to do something then. Scott Pickard, who we were supposed to originally meet with, stated that they would make sure they fixed the car for us. Well OF COURSE! They have to. It's under warranty. Even the owner says we will continue to have trust issues with this car, and what the end result is going to be is we are going to continue to have problems, and I believe they are hoping to just keep putting us off and when out warranty runs out, we will have to pay. Tim Mitchell also has an infomericial that plays on Sunday mornings.in that advertisement, he states "If you are not completely 100% satisfied, bring it back; 100% customer satisfaction." Obviously, that is not true. This has been a total nightmare.
