Ripoff dishonest and it takes 3 weeks to fix a transmission

I Choose AAMCO because of their advertisments: WE GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME;TRANSMISSION EXPERTS; BEST GUARANTEE all did not apply in my situation.

I took my car there and I did pick it up in a week. I was under the impression everything was fixed. Not even ten minutes after I left AAMCO I could tell the transmission wasn't kicking into gear, but I am no expert so I thought maybe the transmission needed time to adjust after all it was in and out of the car and I just left the expert who told me everything was fixed.

The very next day when I tried to drive the car it was not shifting right at all. Now I just paid over 2,100 dollars to have it fixed and it wasn't.

So I called the owner, not even 24 hours after picking the car up. He tried to tell me it was probablly something other than the transmission but he would get a tow truck to pick it up and check it out for me.

Well I waited all day and no truck came and no called me. So the next day I called again and he told me he would call them again and someone would call me back in an hour. Noone called me back, so once again I called the owner he told me he would give me the number to the tow truck and I could call them. I was surprised to get them on the first try considering the owner said he's been trying. This told me he wasn't to interested in fixing my car considering he already got paid for a job that obviously wasn't done right.

Monday came and went and I didn't hear any news. Tuesday my boyfriend called and he was told by the owner that the transmission wasn't working and I wasn't going to be charged any more since I had a warrenty.

Well, that Friday the owner called me and told me that something was wrong with the computer and he would have to charge me another 238 dollars. I didn't agree I should pay since he should have known this needed to be fixed before I even got the car back, but I needed the car.

That Monday I called customer service to tell them my problem. I don't even know why they have a customer service because it's quite clear they are not there to help the consumer but to lie to us.

I told him my side of the story and he said he would call me back. He didn't call me back and after numerous attempts to call him back I finally got a hold of him and he told me from his understanding I wasn't going to be charged any more and that he would have his experts go over everything that was done to my car to make sure I wasn't overcharged for anything because I felt that this part might have been the only thing that I needed.

Everything that he toldme was a lie. He did not do any of it which leads me to believe I was truly ripped off especially when the customer service guy wouldn't even talk to me after this conversation. He also promised I would have my car back the next day considering it was going on three weeks without a car that didn't happen.

When I called to get my car the owner said my transmission still wasn't working even after putting this computer part in it was still doing the same thing it was doing when I took it back.

So my question why am I still getting charged for the part? Then he said it was a faulty torque converted which was covered under the warrenty and once he put another one in the transmission worked fine. Which leads me to beleive this was the problem all along so why was I charged more?

He should of had the transmission fixed right the first time if I did need a computer part he would of known that before I got the car back after all they do computer dialyses to find out exactlly what the problem is. So bottom line I was ripped off.
