I am suffering from a serious illness, and my husband was in the mortgage lending business, so you wouldn't even have to be a gifted psychic to see that my financial situation has taken a swathing blow. I am extremely behind on my car payment. I have never concealed the vehicle, and Wells Fargo has always known my correct and proper address. They have sent me a statement every month.
I received a call from them one year prior, and told them that I had the money to bring the balance up to date. They refused to take my money, and told me that they were coming to repossess the vehicle that night.
So, a year passes, no repo men, they are still sending statements. Then these THUGS came on my doorsep, and were banging on my windows and door. I live in Las Vegas, and in Vegas, you open the door to no one! So I grabbed my kids from the yard quickly only to have these thugs hollering at me saying that they were sent from the Police Department and they had the right to search my house and premise to seize my vehicle. I ran into the house and called 911, to see if they had indeed dispatched plain clothes THUGS, in an unmarked towing truck... And they did not.
So I hollered at the thugs that the Police will be there any moment, and I am filing formal charges for impersonating an Officer. These Thugs ran faster than they did when they most likely crossed the border, and drove their two truck recklessly away at a high rate of speed.
When the Officers arrived, I showed them a touching note that I had received from Wells Fargo about how it was their objective to work with me, and extend great flexibility regarding my debt. However, whenever I tried to call their toll free number, I was placed on eternal hold and disconnected. The Officers called Wells Fargo, and asked who they had hired to come to my home, and they refused to cooperate with the Police. The Police were patient with them, and eventually they convinced the Police that this call was about my debt! I reiterated that this call was about THUGS impersonating Police! I filed a Police report on that, and if they return and I can get a plate number, their repo license can be revoked.
So, they gave the Police a different number that I can call, and they offered me a two week grace period to pay the car in full, otherwise they wanted me to voluntarily surrender my vehicle. That date was Friday, so guess who is calling Monday A.M. And, they told me that I needed to surrender my car to the Sheriff today as they have already won a judgment against me. I am not as stupid as they think, and told them that winning a judgment is a court process that would have included me in it... Duh?
To this date, I have received nothing certified mail, no court date, nothing from any Lawyers, and nothing about a Judgement! She kept over talking me, and lying!!! Literal lies! I told her that I have rights and I can choose to file bankruptcy and even file for the type that allows me to keep my vehicle and there is nothing that they can do about it. She told me that because of the new bankruptcy laws, I have no rights, and they will keep tacking on Attorney's fee's etc., so I need to park my car outside for the "Sheriff" to get it today.
Needless to say, I had lost my temper by now, and informed her of some of the right's that consumers have, and she started laughing. I informed her that I have successfully sued not only the major 3 credit reporting bureaus, but several subsequent creditor's who have settled out of court with me. She kept laughing and said that nobody has ever sued Wells Fargo. Yeah. Right. So they get away with acting like renegade mobsters all the time? So I had an attack of tourette's and called her some really bad names, as this time she forgot to have me consent to being recorded. So after I called her a few names, she hung up on me. Now I am calling her, and she picks up and hangs up on me. Apparently they only like to bully, they don't like to be bullied. They can dish it out, but can't take it. Either way, I'll drag this out until the end, if I have to claim bankruptcy over them raising my amount that I owe them to $53,800 on a car that is now worth K on a good day, then why would I care if they are adding bogus Lawyer fee's to it? I like a good fight!
And we are supposed to feel sorry for the banks who gave loans to people that they were doctoring the papers on? A person who walked into this country and worked for 3 months had a better credit score than many honest people who had jobs for years and paid cash, but they chose to look at a number on a page, and choose those people to give loans to, then try to claim that they are the victims? Well I for one am not going to shed one tear for poor Wells Fargo, and I hope that they go under completely and that I may have a hand in adding one small nail into their coffin.
Also, when they say that they are recording you, tell them that you are recording them as well... Then they hang up on you!!! Why won't they talk to you if you are recording your side so that they can't twist your words in court? Makes you wonder...
