I purchased a warranty for my car from Warranty Depot over a year ago. To my surprise I noticed 2 different drafts coming out of my bank account. I called the company and I had 2 different contracts in error and they advised me to fill out the cancellation form in the booklet and mail it in. This was done in march and the refund should be returned within 90 days. I called to check the status and I was told that the finance comapny just takes payments they dont do refunds. I contacted them via email and received a response saying that the selling agent (Warranty Depot) is no longer in business and the contract adminstrator is responsible for my refund in full. I contacted Michael cassidy at Dealer Services and he continues to lie stating that the company still exists and keeps giving me the run around. It is 10:51am ESt and I have been on hold now with them for 30 minutes and also was hung up on when I stated they were fraudulently taking money with no intention of giving it back. Fisrt Mr. Cassidy tells me he can get back some of the money then he tells me he can give me a number to talk to someone else. I requested to speak with the office manager Joan Blasi and he stated she wasnt available then I asked to speak to the President of the company and he stated he doesnt take calls. Michael Cassidy now tells me out of $1430 he will give me back $384 dollars. June 6 he tells me he can give me back all my payments except the deposit of $350. Then I spoke to Joann Office Manager because Im disputing the amount of the refund and she tells me that the warranty was for 3 years but they took payments as is it were 1 year and instead of prorating me by $124 they used $51.11 which is not what I should receive. They also said the originator isowned by someone else now so I should contact them but they dont have a number. I want all my money back because they gave me the run around for 4 months knowing the company no longer existed. You can rest assure more people have been scammed just like me.
