I recently purchased a set of Screamin' Eagle slip-on mufflers from this dealer. I installed the mufflers according to the instructions supplied. After installing them I took a ride. I traveled about 50 miles and the mufflers fell off the motorcycle. I was travelling at about 35 MPH when this occured and the mufflers were damaged.
I called the parts department the next day and asked the person on duty if I could have the mufflers replaced. He informed me that he would ask the manager and return my call.
When he returned my call he said the manager would not replace the mufflers because they were not installed by the service department. He also said that I should have replaced the clamps. I could accept that if it weren't for the fact that I inquired about installing them myself. I was told that I should use the existing hardware to install the mufflers.
I feel that they should have at least replaced the mufflers. Needless to say I will not purchase another set of Screamin' Eagle mufflers nor will I use tis dealer for any future purchases or service.
