We did not have an enjoyable experience with Sales and Finance at Right Toyota. It was so bad that twice we almost just left the dealership and discontinued the purchase of what is a fine automobile; once during the 'decision to buy' and once while in the 'Finance Office' at the very end when signing paperwork. My wife and I are not easily proturbed and do not make a practice of indecisiveness of a major purchase based on the negligence of sales and/or finance staff.
The first salesperson we met disappeared and walked off without even saying goodbye or giving a reason for not continuing his dialogue on assessing a comparison of your SUV lineup (I believe his name was Chris). Just disappeared.
Another salesperson came up with a pronounced Southern drawl, a friendly smile, and a great knowledge of the product line-up. That was a pleasing experience and it is what ultimately made us stay and purchase from your dealership. We looked at a few other makes and models at competitors and came back later on that evening.
The salesperson that we were passed on to was very dissatisfying, exhibiting qualities of rudeness and incompetence that goes well beyond what we have ever experienced in the purchase of an automobile. We have never had so many broken promises and deception as occurred from this point forward.
We weren't shown the color options as we requested and were promised.
This salesman was pushy and inpatient even with basic questions.
Salesman had minimal product knowledge.
The pricing was all a game; we felt manipulated the entire time. It was not a good feeling.
The salesman we were working with didn't think it was important to deliver a vehicle that didn't have scratches on it. A sales supervisor did come over and remedy this issue.
The finance office was just a series of screw ups.
No total price.
Printed out the incorrect price.
The monthly payments were off by $80.00.
Finance then tried to cover up and include as a $80.00 / month extended warranty.
The interest rate was higher than quoted in agreement.
The security system is fluff, overpriced, and an obvious gimmick. There was other dealer-added fluff that was superfluous and just an add-on to bilk more money from the consumer.
Basically everything was a manipulation of the truth and the unknowing consumer. A series of errors and mistakes to include all the vital pieces of the contract from total price, monthly payment, dealer fluff, invoice, % rate, warranty, etc.
We have no problem paying a fair price which allows a dealership to make a profit on a fantastic product. It is the deceit, obvious errors for profit, and manipulation that is unprofessional.in retrospect, it is pretty obvious that this is the method of operation at Right Toyota, although I think they pushed too hard, which led to careless mistakes, and made the staff look bumbling. Having to sit through all the mistakes was pretty stressful. We really wish it could have been different.
