The lexus navigation system in my IS 350 Lexus cost me about $2,400.00
It has not only failed to perform by sending often in the wrong direction. My dealer's service department has just replaced the 'disk' but the problems persist.
Direction by phone number of destination produces: "Area code has changed"
not true. New disc could not find my office building 2 miles from the dealership. As i drove past my building it did not indicate I should turn in but later as I passed my office is directed straight forward 1 mile= Wrong!!!
I called toyota North America Was given a "complaint number to call" Of course it was not an 800 number. I called left a message 3 days ago; no response.
While riding with a associate the other day he slapped a $300 after market Navigation system on his dash board and it directed us all day perfectly.
It is almost fraudulent to claim this $2400 lexus navigation system works at all. It will list the location of the nearest italian restaurant but teh direction to it will send you in the wrong direction OR by way of San diago when I live in Massachutess.
Only thing worst than the performance of the equiptment is the response [ lack tehreof] from toyota. The dealer has tried to be helpful no beef there but Lexus that is another story
