GoodYear Tire / Scher Tire in Riverside California ran a check engine diagnostic on my 1999 Honda CRV because it was running bad.
The counter guy tried to tell me it would be over $1,000 to fix my car and tried to talk me into getting a GoodYear Tire Credit Card when I said it was too expensive for me.
He said that I needed a radiator rapair and flush along with a tune-up. I went to pick-up my vehicle and get my copy of the diagnostic report but they said they had thrown the diagnostic report away. WHen I asked for a copy to be re-printed they told me that they would need to re-run the diagnostic because they didn't save the diagnostic data in their database.
I knew that this wasn't true because I have been to other GoodYear locations that have always saved my info in their computers. The manager then printed out a receipt and hand wrote some diagnostic codes on it and proceeded to tell me that my radiator was actually fine and that they could do the repair for $500.
By this time I knew that this place wasa scam and said NO.
I paid $49 for a diagnostic, didn't get a real diagnostic print-out and was lied to. This place tried to scam me out of $1,000 after a false diagnostic!
