My name is Alicia and on September. 24 I purchased a 1999 oldsmoblie Alero from Bangor Car Care. At first sight my car was beautiful. Then i drove it home and the very next day my fiancee took it back to bangor car care with a letter listing in detail every problem with the alero that we just purchased. I did indeed keep a copy of this letter for my own records. One of the major issues was that it had a oil leak. That day bangor car care's mechanics sent the car home and reported to my fiancee (the co-buyer) that the car was all set that it was just a minor gasget. Not even two weeks later we had to take our car back to bangor car care with the same issues. Again they were very deceptive and told us that the problem was fixed. We took their word and took it home. Within a month we were right back at the shop and this time when we complained of a oil leak they asked to keep our car overnight so they had more time to work on it. When we picked it up they assured me and my fiancee that it was indeed fixed and that it was the waterpump causing the problem so we paid a 100 dollar deductable and took our car home. A week or so later I smelled a odd smell so I had another mechanic check out the car this time he said that the oil leak had to do with a timing chain and that I needed to take it to bangor car care and let them know he also took me under my car while it was on the lift and showed me where the oil was coming from this certified mechanic also informed me that some kind of bondo was used on the water pump that it had not been replaced. He gave me a print out of all the things that needed to be repaired under my 12,000 mile warranty. So a few days later I called bangor car care's garge in brewer maine there I was treated very unprofessionally by a gentlemen named scott who rudely informed me that they could not take my car in for at least 3 to 4 months in the mean time as they knew would happen my warranty ran out. I bought the car under deceptive claims they should have to go good for the problem.
