I brought my car into Tuffy to get my fan belt replaced and an oil change. They informed me that my car was leaking water and that is why my fan belt was squealing and my car was smoking. I agreed for them to fix the problem. They replaced the coolant, changed the oil and replaced my belt for 360.00 When I left they stated that the car was still smoking because they sprayed water under the hood and that it would stop once dry.

Two days later I realize that my low coolant light is on. As I check under the hood apparently the overflow is empty. I take my car back a couple days later which is my off day because Tuffy is really really slow. They inform me that my water pump ($10) is leaking the coolant ($30) and the charge is 140.00. They state that they cannot fix it for free or takeoff the coolant charge because this could or could not have been overlooked by them but they will give me a discount because they want to make me happy.
As I leave the shop my car is still smoking, I ask for them to come take a look, He states that it is due to my oil that was changed and they may have spilled some on the motor. I advised them that, that was not true because my car has been smoking for months. He states that they can take a look and see what the problem is and fix it. I thought he had already fixed it. When he said he was replacing the gasket, I thought he meant the oil pan gasket because that was the real reason why my car was smoking not because of the coolant. And the fact that they were changing the oil you would think that they would see the problem. Unfortunately I was dealing with amateurs. The guy Darren then explained to me after closing that I can bring my car back and they will give it a free overall inspection (wash & dye).
I brought my car in on Monday at 11AM; he states that he will call me when they are finished. I left my cell phone number where I can be contacted. 3:45pm I call Tuffy to see when I can pickup my car. Darren states that they are not finished and that they have to do a thorough check on everything. At 5:00 my mom calls and informs me that she talked with Darren and he states that my car is old and has a lot of mileage and leaks and it would be better to get a new car. He also informs my mom to have me call at 9AM in the morning.
I call Darren at 8AM because I have to go to work and I do not live in Ocala. And he knows this so I dont understand why they kept my car. Darren states that he decided to keep my car overnight but did not give a reason, he states that after inspecting the car they found leaks in several places. He also states that he could fix the oil pan gasket to stop the smoking but that would only solve part of the problem. He states that my car is ready but he apologize that he doesnt have a diagnostic report. He states that if I come back later in the week he will provide me with one.
I leave the shop disappointed again but feeling as if I just gave away $500. As I went to crank up my car I hear my fan belt squealing. I go to Darren and ask him why it is making this noise. Darren states that they sprayed the belt and it will stop after you drive it for a few miles. (I swear that is the answer to all Mechanics who dont want to handle the problem.) Just in case you are wondering the fan belt still squeals and we are going on day 6 and 100 miles late
