I just moved to a new area and brought my car for an inspection. The owner whose name is gene later phoned me and said i needed a few lights that were out so i said replace them. I also said to please change my oil. He then said that i could use a winterization which i said to do.
He then called me back and said before thtey winterized the car i should replace the 2 hoses to the radiator because they were old. Is said go ahead and do it. This whole job cost me $220.00.
A few days later i hear a noise. I ignore it. It gets worse i bring it back to them they say it is my water pump. I leave the car and they fix it. They told me it would be $189.00. I get there and it is $235.00. I say why and gene tells me because i needed a gallon and a half of anti-freeze. I say why when a week ago you just winterized it. He said you lose it when you change the water pump but not to worry he will deduct it. But $30.00 sounds a lot for anti-freeze but i let that go.
Few days later i go out to my car and i see a oil spot. I now am suspicious so i drive back to where i use to leave to my old mechanic and ask him to check the car out. He calls me later on in the day and says he never so anything like it before. All the seals on my car were leaking. The front seal the real seal the transmission seal etc. A few people tell me that an old trick is to put break fluid in the engine and that drys out the seals and they crack and begin to leak. Usually about a week or so after it is done which is about the time i had the work done on my car. Later he tells me that the boot axle that he replaced for me was cut. I called the place that did the work to the car and informed them of this and of course they denied any wrong doing. But they have called me twice to try and convince me of this. Sounds like they are trying to cover their asses if you ask me.
Anyway i have the seals from the car and i will hold on to them. Also this cost me $450.00 to repair and it still needs more work.
I have had to find ways to get to work which is not easy. I work very hard 6 days a week and that someone can get away with this just makes me insane. Please help me get my money back!!!
