I was connected to SafeLite thru USAA insurance on a cracked windshield. They gave me a price higher than ANYONE in the Dallas area. When it was determined that I would have to pay my deductible of $500, and the windshield was $350, I said I would call other glass locations to compare. I got a quote of $219. When I called back Safelite, the girl quoted me $216.00 for a Honda windshield, not a "aftermarket" windshield. I said ok, but when the local Richardson Tx. Facility called the day they were suppose to install it, they said they had to order Honda molding and I said ok, you have a HONDA windshield, right? They said "no, its a after market one".
So, the girl lied to me and 3 weeks later, Im still fighting with Safelite and USAA. I wouldnt use Safelite if the windshield was free! They suck! USAA has given me the runaround also, after 30 years with them, its time for a change.
