I went to JD Byrider after not being able to qualify for a car from the infamous Easterns Motors (where your jobs your credit... So untrue). The salesman at Easterns referred me to the nearest JD Byrider which works with people with no credit, bad credit, etc. My credit sucks and I recently had a repo so I was really desperate to get into a car.
For starters, when we pulled into the dealership, there was only like 20 cars on the lot all older model American cars (1999). So I wasn't really moved to go inside but I had nothing to lose and was willing to see what they had to say. They gave the me the whole spiel about budgeting and late payments. They will repo you of you're payment is 1 day late. They expect to be paid bi-weekly. That was all fine and dandy.
I didn't have my down payment money that same day so I came back the next week. They had me provide them with 12 references before I was even able to see a vehicle.
I test drove 6 cars. Yes, I said 6. All of which needed extensive mechanical work performed on them. One Taurus wagon sounded like a truck when I accelerated. The next car, a Chevy Malibu made a whistling noise upon start up (alternator problems). A Ford Windstar (minivan) needed work done to the power steering because I had a hard time turning the steering wheel.
Needeless to say, I didn't buy a car from them. The salesamn told me that their finance dept would pull the deal if I kept coming back and not buying anything. I basically laughed in his face because he saved me a huge headache. They are selling trash! I will be going to my local Honda dealership that has special financing to buy a car. Please do not go to JD byrider!!! Save your time and money!!!
