This makes the 3rd Ford dealership in the last 6 months to pull a similar stunt. However this one was the straw that broke the camels back.
I called planet ford on the phone prior to arriving to clarify that they did indeed have at least one of the vehicles listed on their website as on on sale available. After speaking with Denaa? For a few minutes, she said I have looked it up on the computer and we have several of them from the ad Then she proceeded to ask when I would come by to see the vehicles. Were I replied I will be over in 15 minutes to look at these vehicles. Denaa responded please ask for me or Michelle.
Upon arrival Denaa was unable to meet with us so Michelle came out and greeted me. At this point I recapped my conversation with Denaa. Again being very specific that I was only interested in the vehicles in the ad.
Michelle proceeded to show us three vehicles that were supposedly part of the ad. After two hours at the dealership. We selected one of the three vehicles we had viewed and finally got down to talking about price. After 15 minutes of waiting Michelle arrived back with the numbers and the surprise. She placed in front of us a vehicle that was almost $7000 more (minus all the rebates, etc) and (without TTL) than what appeared in the ad. She also proceeded to tell me that they didnt have any of the vehicles in the ad, but this was a good deal.
Is it any wonder that Ford continues to loose market share in the United States when this is the way your dealerships want to conduct business.
