I am letting everyone know of my current experience with a CarHop dealer on roselawn.
I had just purchased a car from a CarHop dealer named Michael. When I bought it he said the car was all inspected and runs well. He was ultra friendly and a perfect liar. The car was not inspected for safety.
1 week after I purchased it on my way to the Maplewood Mall my van didn't stop when I stepped on the brakes. I nearly crashed into a Van in front of me. I managed to stop it with what was left on the pads and worn out brake disc. Because it was Friday CarHops mechanics was closed. So I called the nearest Midas autoshop and took it there. Luckily there as one 1 block nearbye.
When they opened up the wheels to see the brakes we all saw there was no more pad left and the brake system was all rusted, dry and had no more fluid. Rusted and completely hazardous. Basically it was ignored from what we saw if it was ever inspected.
My family's lives were at risk and I am thankful GOD was watching over us had it been in the highway we would've all died going at 60 mph and had to stop.
I ended up calling to Katie at the dealer and she only yelled at me and told me it happens and that I should take it in MONDAY to their mechanics to fix. She even went as far as saying her own car is hazardous and that it's normal.
Me and My family had no options left cause that was our only car and we don't have credit to get another anywhere else. So we both decided we'd fix it.
I was mad and wanted to refund the car but my wife told me to be a kind person and repair since we had bad credit nobody else would sell us a car and that she didn't trust CarHops mechanics anymore after this. Since they were the sabatours.
We ended up repairing the entire brake system that costed 900 dollars. I am still very mad but my wife says she's forgiven carhop and that we be thankful GOD let us know it was hazardous. I don't know if I ever forgive them but I'll trust her ways. She's always been a kind person and goodness always came of it and the ones that hurt her always paid. God's watching.
My point and suggestion.
I am letting everyone who reads this know that CarHop dealers pray on bad credit and sell faulty unsafe uninspected cars.
Don't let your family step inside a CarHop vehicle! They are more precious then anything else.
I would love to join anyone with a lawsuit against CarHop and would testify on their behalf with my own experience. I Think I can't let them get away with things like that and endanger other families.
