I rented a car from enterprise rent a car on Feb 8 2008 for a week. The car was returned and checked back in to enterprise on Feb 15 2008 with no problems. I noticed an additional charge of 71 dollars on my bill and asked what it was. The guy told me he wasn't sure and asked me to call in later and he would either refund my money or explain what the charge was since he did not know and he had other customers waiting. I did not call the next day but i called the day after and he referred me to the manager David Pena and gave me a phone number to reach him. Mr Pena did not know what the extra charge was so he told me he would find out and give me a call back later that day. Mr Pena did not call me back so i called him the next day and he apologized for not calling me back. This time he told me that he didn't have time to research my problem and he would call me back before he leave work. Mr Pena has lied and lied
Today is Feb 29 2008 and i have called him everyday for the last 2 weeks and he now says he is sorry but he don't know what the charge is and he can't do anything about it and please don't call him anymore. Mr Pena said they must have put that charge on my bill for a reason so he is not giving me my money back.
Also, the day after i turn the car in i tried to use my credit card at a gas station and the card was declined. I called the master card company and they informed me that Enterprise had charged $1,037.00 to the card. My total bill even with the additional charge was only $299.77. I had to fax them a copy of the final bill to get that mess cleared up. What an inconvience Enterprise has caused me. There is no complaint department and the manager Mr Pena refused to do anything about my situation so what can i do. They will never get my business again. Ripped off by Enterprise.
