I had been looking for a new Honda Civic SI and found one at Honda bu the Bay in Daphne, AL and dealt with what seemed to be a half way honest car salesman named Larry "Sully" Sullivan. The first offer he came up with was 400/month for 60 months at 4.9 interest.
I advised hime I wouldn't be paying over 350/month. That was on a Monday. On Wednesday he called & said he got it down to 370. I advised again 350 was it for me.
On Saturday 10-5 he called me and said he got it down to 348.70 for 60 months at 3.9 interest for that day only, due to Honda appreciation days. I told him I would be over within the hour to pick it up & he said the paper work would be ready.
I arrived about 45 minutes later and needless to say no paperwork was done. He then proceded to send me into the finace guy too finalize the deal and the finance guy didn't know where Larry came up with that figure.
He then realized that it was actually 348.70 for 66 months not 60. I told him sorry but I don't deal with Liars and I asked to talk to the general manager. The general manager didn't care to talk to me because he was too busy, and didn't even offer an apolgy for the salesman that flat out lied to me.
Needless to say, if I ever purchase a Honda it will be from Pensacola Honda, where they haven't lied to me just to get me in to buy their car.
