This is the nastiest place i have ever dealt with. They have sooo many bad reports with bbb etc. And lawsuits that they arehiding behind the new name, drivetime. I purchased a car from them, a 1997 geo tracker because i have less than perfect credit. All was well, even though i knew i was paying, literally 3 times what the car was worth, i bought it becaus it was mechanically sound. I am a singlr mom and can't afford car repairs.
Anyway it all went well until i lost a big chunk of income, changed jobs and went without a paycheck for three and a half weks because i started at the end of a two week pay schedule. That was when hell began. I got behind and they called my home5 times a day, had my daughter in tears with their threats, called my work and told my boss that i was behind (one payment, two weeks) and that they wanted to know where i parked so they could pick the car up. Cannot count how many time they threatened to pick the car up. The manager jackie was the cruelest, nastiest woman i have ever talked to. There was no discussing with her, or even talking. She screamed at me, she talked right over anything i tried to say.
Finally, i talked to an attorney, who told me to send the car back... I had been paying for a year and a half and still owed 6000 on a car valued at 2900. Sooooo, believing that they wanted the car back! After all the threats! I tried to give it back... Not so easy. I bought another car with less than half the payment, from another dealer, called the duck and told them to pick up the car. Told them i couldn't make the payments anymore. They refused! Jackie, the nasty, told me she would take my house, my car i just bought or anything else i had of value!!! The dealer where i bought the cheaper car was soo upset he called, and even tried to drive the car back to them, with a notorized paper from me giving him permission.
Jackie was so nasty to him tht he went over her head. The man wa much nicer but still refused to take the car that they were so gung ho to repossess. Thedealer placed the car in their storage lot and sent a certifie letter to the duck saying they have 14 days to pick it up or they will return t and charge them storage. Said if refuse it again thet will just bill the dck with further storage until they do.
This company is crooked and out to rip off those of us in financial bind... Making things worse... Stay clear and report them to ftc. Talked
