I went to Ugly Duckling the day after my 18th birthday. The sales guy pressured me into getting a car I didnt want in the first place becuase he knew i was a single mom that just turned 18. THE NEXT DAY! I went back and told them I didnt think this car was the right choice for me and I knew I had 72 hrs to back out of the contract. The sales man told me "NO, thats only if we came to u. You came to us". He also told me "If you leave the car on our lot we will keep ur deposit and put it on ur credit showing you have a repo"
Not knowing what to do I took the car. Made ONTIME payments through out the whole time I had the car. Then the transmission went out. Less that 3 months later!!! I took it back to them and they kept the car for 2 weeks "getting it fixed"
Less than a yr after that the motor blew up!!! Left me on the side of the road with my baby in the car. I called them and asked to defer a payment so i could replace the motor and they told me NO. Once againg. So I had the car towed down to the dealer and went in to talk to them. The new guy that was there had the gull to tell me..."If you havent wanted the car since day one, Why didnt u just say something. You had 72 hrs to turn it in" I FLIPPPEDD!!! Screaming at the top of my lungs "THATS WHAT I TRIED TO DO AND YOUR SALES GUY TOLD ME I COULDNT!!!"
So I took the car back to my house and let it sit out front for 3 months. Not making the payments because they told me once again if i left it on the lot they would charge storage fees, repo fees, and put it on my credit as a Repo.
After the 3 months they called me again and said if i didnt bring it down they would come get it... Charging me towing fees, repo fees, and sue me. After all of this I had a fried tow the car back down there. I left it in the lot... Walked in Dropped the keys in the slot and took off out the door before they could say anything else. I hate this company. EVERYONE THERE ARE THEIFS!!! They intentionally took advantage of me and laughed in my face doing it!!!
