National Auto Warranty Services, South Carolina Insurance Group, Capital Insurance Group, Verenco, The NAWS Extended Warranty Run-Around

On Thursday 31 January my 2000 Pontiac Montana stopped running due to a Lower Intake Manifold Gasket malfunction/leak which will cost over $800 to fix. I had the vehicle towed to the local liscenced Pontiac Dealer, Alford Motors in Leesville, LA to have it assessed and repaired as per the instructions on my contract. It was later in the day that the Service Manager called me back and informed me of the Run-Around he was getting from my Extended Warranty policy so I called for myself.

The first number is that of the Claims Office, Vernco Inc. Out of Alvarado, TX. They foward you to the South Carolina insurance group, who is supposed to be handling the claims since they are the ones that froze the assetts and accounts of the Capital Insurance Group who i suppose are the ones ultimately responsible for the warranty policy. However as soon as you give your information to the person at South Carolina, they transfer you to the ones who sold the policy, The National Auto Warranty Services. They of course deney all responsibility and transfer you back to the start point, Vernco Inc.

This cycle continues over and over, and nobody wants to take responsibility for paying or handling the claim. It is an endless circle of passing the buck. The only thing i can get out of anyone is to pay for the repairs out of pocket and then file a reimbursement claim that will not be taken care of for 30 to 45 days.

Now if I, or anyone else for that matter, could afford to pay out of pocket for the repairs, then none of us would have needed an extended warranty would we?

It would seem that nobody had a problem taking nearly $300 dollars a month from me over the course of the last year for a total payment of over $3000 dollers in year 2007... And yet, now, nobody has the courtesey to honor their part of the contract? How about a notification that nobodys claims will be honored due to frozen accounts?

So now nobody wants to pay for my repairs, nobody wants to give my money back and i am still stuck with a broken vehicle. As a single father with four small children, my vehicle is my livleyhood. I need repairs NOW, not next week, or next month, or whenever the freeze is lifted, my vehicle is broken now.

For a Warranty Corporation to not have any back up money or assetts available to help their patrons is not only irresponsible, but it is stupid and probubally criminal since it is a violation of the service and warranty contract.
