Bill Heard screws you on addendum stickers

Basically they advertised a truck for a price in the newspaper and I made sure that they had it on the lot before I showed up the morning of the sale.

I made sure I was the first person on the lot. I showed up at 3 am and waited for them to open. Before they opened a security guard, that was an off duty police officer, aproached me becasue I was walking around on the lot looking at the vechicles. He pushed me up against his truck and proceded to search me saying that he was a police officer and he had the right to do so for his personal protection. Later when I learned he was off duty he didn't like it too much when I dared to say that since he under false pretenses presented himself as a police officer that what he had done to me was assault. He was off duty and out of his jurisdiction and I was not trespassing.

I was just trying to find the stock number of the truck that was listed in the paper, to make sure the vehicle was there that matched to stock number of the truck in the ad.

On to the deal. I was the first person on the lot but was informed that it didn't matter if I was the first customer on the lot, they didn't have to sale the vehicle to me. Every vehicle on the lot has a addendum sticker on it. If your going to be crooked you have to go all out. It was about 2000.00 on every vehicle for stuff like scotch guard and pen stripes. I was told that it didn't matter what the vehicle was advertised for, that I had to pay that 2000.00 dollars or they weren't going to sell me the vehicle. I knew this was wrong and illegal when they did it, but I wanted the vehicle at that price bad enough that I just choked it down and paid it. What they did would be like if I was a grocery store and I was selling cookies for 1.00 a box and then once the customer loads their basket up and are checking out I inform them that the box those cookies came in cost 20.00 each. You can't advertise something for a price and sell the exact item you advertised and tack on charges. If you don't want to sell something for the price you advertise it for then let me give you some advice that is a legal way of doing business Bill Heard ADVERTISE THINGS AT THE PRICE YOU WANT TO SELL THEM FOR.

One thing I will say in Bill Heard's defense is that going into this deal I already knew they were the most crooked dealership on the face of the earth and I expected to get screwed some how. They and Landmark Chevrolet are the same company and are equally dirty. Landmark Chevrolet invented dirty car dealing, Bill Heard perfected it. Maybe GM would be doing better with their sales right now if they addoped a policy that they made their dealerships not be crooked.

Addendum stickers are crooked any way you look at it. It's an artifical way to raise the price and the dealer probably spends more money on the sticker than they do the ghost upgrades.
