My nephew and I had transmissions installed in our vehicles in 2005. My nephew was installed a couple a months before mine. Around March my nephew had to have another transmission installed in his car by Aamco. He was told that he had some how put a whole in his transmissison. This month, January my transmission goes out. The guy tells me that a coolant line linked and burnt out my transmission and he has the van on a machine and all kinds alerts are coming up about problems with the transmission. I do not buy this. I have jiffy lube change my oil with their 14 point check service every 3,000 miles or 3 months which ever is first. There was no indication lights or warning coming on about the coolant line. I noticed in October that, my van would stall a bit before I pulled off but then it seemed fine. Now, it will not go forward or backward. I believe that Aamco put bad transmission in these vehicles to last after the year warranty and them have you pay more for another transmission. There is no way my transmission and my nephew transmission should go out within 2 years time of being installed and right after the warranty expired. It's a total ripp off!
