Suzuki Credit Card Retail Services
No Hurricane Katrina Relief

I bought a brand new 2004 Suzuki Z400 back in November. I paid over $6000 for it and opened up a Suzuki credit card to pay for it. Im in the Navy and I got deployed overseas to Iraq in June. I stored my ATV and other personal belongings in a storage unit. My homeport was in Gulfport, MS so I stored my stuff in a storage unit there. Hurricane Katrina came along and destroyed my storage unit. I was notified from the Navy what had happened and they flew me back immediatly within a few days. I walked up to the storage unit and the only thing that was left was my Jeep Wrangler with alot of body damage. The Hurricane had unsecured my unit and my belongings were stolen. I lost all my clothes and other valuable pictures and assets. I filed a police report for my stolen ATV but with no papers, I was unable to provide my VIN for my ATV. I told the Gulfport Police Department about my situation and told them my dad will contact Suzuki and get that information to them the next day. I was getting deployed the next day so I didnt have time to obtain that information. My dad did call the next day and the Police Department failed to locate my report. Well about a month later my Dad received a letter in the mail stating I owe the Chevron Towing Company in Gulfport, MS a $400 towing fee and a $25 a day storage fee for my 4 wheeler. My dad contacted Chevron Towing and notified them of my situation of being deployed to Iraq and their was no way of me obtaining my ATV. Chevron Towing refused to help in anyway. I returned 2 weeks later and went to Chevron Towing and they told me that they had sold my 4 wheeler for $750. They told me they ran the VIN several times and nothing came up as stolen. They said they even contacted Suzuki and they refused to accept it and obtain it until further notice. I called Suzuki and they refused to help in anyway and told me to continue the payments. I now have no ATV which I paid $6000 for and have been making payments on time for the past 3 years. I still owe a balance of $3000 to something I dont own anymore. Im in a financial need of some help right now and Suzuki is not willing to lower my APR or even my payments. I will never own a Suzuki again!!!
