I brought my car to Midas because the engine light was on. After paying $289.00 for a water pump, the car broke down 5 miles away from the shop. I had it towed back to Midas who then claimed I needed a radiator which would cost $499.00. After paying for the new radiator the car broke down 7 miles from the shop. I had the car towed back at my expense and was told I needed a computer piece which would cost $300.00. Midas then called me reporting that it would cost $800.00, I told them not to work on the car and that I would have it towed to another shop.
Midas did the work without my permission. I went to the shop demanded my car and refused to pay. Midas refuses to refund the initial money put into the car plus they are demanding $1000.00 which I refuse to pay.
