Like many others I took my vehicle (a Jeep Liberty) in to get a $100 "special." Well, that special turned into $600 worth repairs that supposedly included a new hydraulic system and calipers.
Took the Jeep into the dealer a few weeks later for a regular lube/oil/winterization service. The second I told them I took it to "Just Fakes" for a brake service (and the other things they supposedly fixed) the Service Manager proceeded to tell me that in the last 3 weeks he's heard no less then a half-dozen other costumers complain about their "service."
I still had the receipt in the car, so I had them go through it and check each and every item listed (and subsequently charged me for). All they did was replace the pads and machine the rotors (as advertised in the special). It appeared they failed to touch the calipers or the hydraulic system at all. What's more... There was a brake seal leak on the right front tire gushing brake fluid.
Given all the eerily similar reports of work charged for and not performed - across the country mind you... How is this company still in business? Why hasn't a class action suit been brought against these scam artists? I'd be happy to be included!
