Service Center Oil Change incompetent swapped part rude insurance adjuste

3-4 months ago I had an oil change at walmart service center. About a month later the vehicle started having an oil leak (from the looks of it, it was coming from the rear main seal.) I figured I would take care of this with some seal rejuvenatory next oil change (I'll change it myself). I grab the metric wrench and it fits loosley on the oil plug (no other metric wrenches fit?) odd, I thought, the head is not damaged. I start to unscrew it and had to use a wrench the whole time, to back it off. Ok somethings wrong because once loose you can hand turn it all the way out. I remove the drain plug and discover that it is (along with the oil pan) is stripped and is not even a oil plug (bolt) with a washer (missing crush seal) and has some blue plastic seal (probably stripped because it is SAE). Now I'm pissed. I bag the bolt/washer/blue seal and take it to walmart. After waiting and talking to a "go between", they say they will call me back. They arrange for DM to come out the next day. He was hours late and come out at night to take pictures. Yada yada... I talk to claims later that week (Tammy) and she says that I "contaminated the evidence by putting oil back in the car and a new oil plug". I'm guessing she wanted me to leave the car in the driveway blocking my other cars and no oil in it for 30 hours before they came out? She said she needed proof that it was not a oil plug for the car and have the dealership fax their opinion to her. Then she says that it was probably my fault for turning it the wrong way, blah blah she becomes more insolent the more I talked to her (cutting off my sentences/ETC...). She then said she will send me a rejection letter. I asked, what about the proof she wanted? She said, if I want I can go do that. HUH? She already rejected it.
My opinion is that they either lost the original oil plug and replaced it with a bolt or some other poor sap has my metric plug & I have their SAE plug. Either case I have to buy a new OEM oil drain plug/crush washer that now doesn't thread right because the oil pan is stripped also (I'll I have to replace that to). I think I have a good small claims case, however missing ones days work cost me more than repairs. And the fools they send will be getting paid anyhow. I'll never trust Walmart again.
