We bought a used SUV on Valentine's Day 2007. The second day we owned it we began having problems. It was towed twice and was in the shop 5 times (3 different repair shops but all in the "circle" of Guy Motors). No-one could find the problem. There were many minor repairs made and the warranty was extended 30 extra days, but it was never repaired so we just had to drive it.
Fast forward to month 7. We go to a repair shop of our choosing for oil change and tire rotation. They immediately find the issue.
Apparently, there was an aftermarket suspension put on the vehicle and the "air" suspension was cut out. This included cutting out the airbags. The present suspension makes all the wheels tilt inward and the tires are worn on the inner 2 inches.
The shop could not rotate the tires as "they are in the safest position possible", but we need new tires and can't get them due to this problem. They state it could have NEVER PASSED INSPECTION due to unsafe alignment and safety deviced being tampered with.
Guy Motors offered another vehicle to us off their lot at twice our payment. That is the best they will do.in the meantime, we have small children in this unsafe vehicle. We want a refund.
