Where do I start? Wells Fargo Auto Finance needs to be brought down!
My problems all started when I forgot to pay my auto insurance during August. It had only lapsed for 3 days. When I realized this, I immediately called my insurance company and had my insurance reinstated. Well, when I got my next statement from Wells Fargo I notice that my monthly payment had increased by $163.00. I immediaetly called Wells Fargo to find out what was going on. They told me that since my insurance lapsed that they had put there own insurance on the vehicle. I explained that I had my insurance reinstated as soon as I realized it had lapsed. Wells Fargo told me that if I can prove that I had coverage that they would take it off, but it might take 90 days for it to show up. I called my insurance company and they said they would take care of it. After 3 months past Wells Fargo said they never received my proof of insurance. So I called my insurance company again and they told me that they sent the proof of insurance. My insurance company sent them the proof again. During this time I would only make my regular monthly payments because I could not afford to pay for two insurance policys, and my monthly payments got behind. The customer service representatives at Wells Fargo kept telling me once the insurance issue is resolved my account would not be behind anymore. They said everything would even out. The next couple of months I had made a few large payments to get my account current anyway. This one time I made a payment and I asked the representative how much did I owe to bring the accout current, and she told me $800.00. Well the next statement I received said that I owed $3600.00. Where in the hell did that come from??? Well, in June I finally got the insurance issue resolved. I thought my problems were over. WRONG!!! Now they are telling me that the reinbursment from the insurance all goes to pay the principal. So this whole time I am thinking that my account is finally going to be current it is not. Not to mention from october to present I have received about 100 harassing phone calls everyday. They called and harassed my husband at work and he almost got fired. After telling them to stop calling they continued to call. They even went as far has getting my husbands boss cell phone number from the office and called him a few times for my husband. My husband was so embarrassed! I continued to get statements with outrages amounts that they say I owed. One day in August I decided to sit down and go through all the payments I have made since I purchased the car. After adding all the payments I have made and considering how many months I have owned the car, I realized that I have over paid. My monthly note should be paid up till November. So since August 07 I have been fighting with these people to fix my account. My account has been in audit I dont know how many times in the last few months. They are still saying I owe them $3000.00 and have started the process of repoing my car. I have an attorney looking into my situation, but he says Wells Fargo gets away with this stuff because they think they are gods and they can do what ever they want. I believe they are EVIL and should not get away with these kinds of things. All us people that have been scorned by Wells Fargo Auto finance need to pull together and do something!!!
