My story is much the same as the others: I ordered and exhaust system, opened the box, and there was only one part that was correct. I contacted them and they immediately shipped me a return authorization label. I followed the instructions for the return and confirmed receipt on their end. I had requested that they ship the correct parts instead of giving a refund. Over the next four months I was told that they would issue a refund and I would have to reorder the parts. I finally had enough. We are talking at $387.95. Since they were so quick to send the return label I trusted them and did not file a dispute with my credit card company.
Always file the dispute. Live and learn. Here is what I did for the next five months - online complaint to consumer affairs - no response yet. Filed report online with the BBB. They sent two requests to the Auto Parts Warehouse (APW) who ignored both. At that point there is nothing else the BBB can/will do. I filed an online complaint with my states Attorney Generals office and emailed my documentation. The APW ignored the Attorney General certified letters. The woman I was dealing with at the A.G.'s office was great. She would not settle for being ignored. She finally caught up with a supervisor at Auto Parts Warehouse, who had no explanation for the run around I received, but he said he would process the credit. This was yesterday and amazingly it appeared in my account today. Whatever it takes, don't let them get away with it. It took me nine months to get my money and now that I have it I can only say that the satisfaction is greater than the aggravation.
Don't let them have your money and their auto parts! Talk about having your cake and eating it too. I am going to submit to the US Attorney General and the CA Attorney General a request to review all of the complaints on this website regarding the Auto Parts Warehouse.
