I trusted this person because his mechanics daughter and mine are both battling leukemia and he knew I was already behind on my mortgage, I was dumb enough to think he might be a decent person. My 1999 GMC Suburban 1500 went to Pruitts Auto care @ 2513 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch, Texas for repair. It required replacement of the fuel pump and fuel filter - I was charged 429.04 for the fuel pump, 19.99 for the fuel filter, and 280 on the labour. I looked up the pump which actually sells for under 200 everywhere, the filter for under 10. And calls to several shops said labor costs for my car should have been for 2 hours, 2.8 maximum if my car had a skid plate and tank shield which i dont believe it does. I was charged for 3.5 hours labor.
He saw a woman so desperate she pushed the car over a block alone to save on towing, with a 99 Suburban (not exactly a Porsche), a kid with cancer, and four others - and he thought " EASYYY MONEY" - what do you think he would do to anyone else?
