This company is a rip-off. I got a autoloan through them and set it up with the dealer that my payment date was due on the 15th of each month and even set up automatic debit, since I travel a lot for my company. While coming back from travel I had numerous messages from Credit Acceptance. When I called them they said they got the payment and that it was late and in the future I would be charged late fees for this. I went and dug up the copy of the loan paperwork I signed at the dealership and sure enough the due date is listed as the 15th of the month and from every month there after. I advised them that my contract shows the 15th. They replied that no it is the 1st that the dealership must have made a mistake. I again advised them that according to the legal document I signed that it is the 15th and I was not going to change this to the 1st as this is not what I signed to. They then replied that it was not suppose to be the 15th and that they can not change the due date once it has been entered, she then went on to tell me if I don't start paying it on the 1st of each month that they haven't charged late fees yet but they will. She also stated that it is already showing on my credit report as being late. I informed her I would gladly fax a copy of the original paperwork to them for verification and she just replied that it wouldn't matter cause the due date is the 1st and this can not be changed. I have had four conversations with credit acceptance about this and one with a supervisor and have been told the same thing everytime. They don't know why I am not being charged late fees (thank god) but that my payments are showing as late and that my credit is being affected by this. I refuse to give into them, my document that both me and the dealership signed state the due date is the 15th NOT THE 1ST.
