Would not accept a return and had a bad attitude

I went into the store with my friend looking for a recreational vehicle metal blow out plug with a valve stem which is used to blow air out of water lines. I was informed they only had plastic. I purchased the plastic one and opened the package later to take off the cap and found there was no valve stem.

The plug worked but the tirelike valve stem would have assured a more complete fit and therefore a better clearing of the lines. I wanted to return the plastic blow out plug for a credit toward the purchase of a metal one that would have had to have been ordered. The wise guy behind the counter told me he would not return my money or apply the amount toward the purchase of a metal one.
