We drove in with a trade that was owed on, gave them a check for $10,500, drove off with a new car. Only FIVE weeks later, after not being able to license the new car and getting thrown in the back of a Highway Patrol car, thinking the vehicle was stolen, to be told that the financing had still not been approved.
We returned the new car that very day and was informed that our trade had been sold.in the end we ended up with NO vehicle, old or new, being charged one month payment on the new car, and only getting $1,900 of our $10,500 back. Which by the way, we had to return to Ricart the following day to get because it was late in the evening and they couldn't cut us a check when we returned the new car.
The Finance Manager stated "Look at it this way, you got your truck paid off". Where I come from, when you pay off a truck that means you own the truck. Now we have no truck, no new car, no money.
