Ricart is the ultimate ripoff machine. After being desperate for a car after mine was totaled, I was schistered in to purchasing a used car for about double what is was worth after all their 'charges' were added. 5 hours of negotiations and an enormous interest rate later, I rolled out with a ticking time bomb. After about 5 months the breaks went. The tech who fixed my car said it appeared that the car hadn't been drove in years and had been stored outdoors all that time.
He showed me the routers of the car - they were so corroded and full of rust they were literally falling apart in his hands. When I called Ricart to ask for something to be done, as I had been guaranteed a thorough checkup and inspection before I bought the car and that I had been bamboozled in to buying their extended warranty, they essentially sent me around to every extension in the office with no answers. Repeated calls went unanswered, but on my birthday I got a free dinner on us postcard from the bastards.
They've got so many lawsuits against them it's ridiculous. I just wish I had known before I walked in the doors. I got a miserable $102 from the last class action lawsuit. A piddly amount considering I spent over $1000 fixing it before I had to beg someone to take the piece of * as a trade-in. Beware. Take your business elsewhere and SAVE YOUR MONEY.
