Manager confirms 400 to 500% mark up on auto parts. Ripoff

I had my 93 Lexus repaired at the Car-x in Shawnee Kansas. The repair included a belt tensioner, belt, and harmonic balancer. I was charged $931.97 for these parts.in checking with the local Auto Zone parts store, I was informed that these parts would cost about $250 in total. When I called Car-x, the manager, Denis said that it is company policy to mark up parts between 400 and 500% because "we guarantee the parts for 90 days". The installation of these parts should have taken less than 2 hours according to alternate sources, one of them being the local Toyota dealer and I was charged 5 1/2 hours at $95 per hour... Obviously the technician, Brandon wasn't very compitant, or it was a total rip off. The total bill was $1,571.35 of which probably $1000 was overcharged. I've contacted the Better Business Bureau but have not heard back from them. I'm also going to contact the county DA to see what he can do. Why car repair shops feel they have the right to abuse the trust you almost have to have do the complexity of the newer cars is beyond me. I tell everyone I see about the ripoff and will post a note in the club house at the complex where I live, advising others not to patronize Car-x.
