Ripped me off. Took money without shipping purchased item

I advertised for a Air Conditioner Assembly for my 280Z car, thru automotix.net. The request for help was answered by EAP Auto Parts in Littleton Colorado.

I purhased the item over the phone, giving them my debit card number. At that time I was told shipment would be within the next two days. I called back in a week wanting to know the ship date and was told that were in the process of removing the item from the car... They had gotten behind. I called back that or the next day wanting to purchase another item from this doner car and they never returned my call. That I couldn't understand.

I called back yesterday, after about 4 weeks, and they were "in the process of taking the AC out of the car". Ordinarly that would not have surprised me too much except in the process of looking for another phone number other than the 1-800 that no one answers, I had just read a "ripoff report" a few minutes before, and I knew I was in trouble.

I talked to Jeff, didn't get much satisfaction except to hear him say they running 4 weeks behind. He said he would have it shipped today and would have for me a FEDEX tracking number. I'll call back later today but I'm sure I will have to proceed as others have and try to get my money back.

By the way, normally I use Credit Cards for this type of purchases and for some reason I used my Debit Card. Any hope of getting the same type of pressure from my bank to recovery the funds?
