Rj Williams & Associates-sam Baker
Scammed by an autombile training program and its trainer!

I applied for a job at the local Ford dealership for a job that was posted. I have been wanting to sale cars, so I jumped on this opportunity to work for a good company that did not recquire sales experience and also advertised no gimmicks, no tricks. The company has a "professional" from Williams & Associates to come in and hire the best of the best. You had to interview with the company to get in the door-makes since.

I interviewed with Sam and had a great interview. I took it very seriously even though I was excited and yet nervous. This was a very important interview through my eyes. He was very serious about the job but fun. At the end of the interview he shook my hand and said "congratulations" I was ecstatic, but had to remain calm.

He said wait, before you can leave I need you to write down on this piece of paper in 20 words or less why I should hire you. I wrote why I should work at this dealership and he read my response and said "thank you exactly what I am looking for." Can you be here for training tomorrow at 9:20. I said yes sir and went on my merry way. Now I know alot of people about 60 or more applied, I felt honored.

Now for the rest of the week ending August 3rd, 28 people were in training. He had said on the first and second day of training we could actually use 25 more of yall to place within the five local dealerships here of this branch. On the second day of training we were told about a tuition of $698.00. Also told that with that in 90 days it would be returned to us. Now me like others did not pay any of it.

I needed a job, I didnt apply to have to pay them to work, but anyway so much would be taken out of our checks a month. This was fine since we would be getting it back in 90 days and since we were all told we had a job. We had nothing to worry about because we had a job and would be getting it back. I could tell no one really liked this at all. $700 dollars for really what we had 2 1/2 days of training. I learned alot but wasnt worth that much. Since Sam was a highly experienced car salesman, manager, and trainer, we really wanted to learn more but there was not time.

Well, on Friday, August 3, we were told that there would be 3 lists that we would all be on. Now come Thursday, only 24 returned to the class, but they were going to break us up into 3 groups to meet with the owners son and he was the one that would place us at the dealership he wanted us at. On the Friday list 9 people were on it, that I am aware of.

Sam told us that there would be a list for Saturday at 9am and a list for Monday at 9am. He also said that he would call us or email us even though he was leaving on Friday to go to California. Well he announced who was on the list for Friday and those people got to meet with the owners son and find out where they were going. He told the rest of us to look for an email or a phone call.

Now we all went through a second interview on Thursday with a manager or with Alan the General Manager. He too did not leave the impression that I did not have a job. So after not knowing about Saturdays list come that evening I called Sam myself Saturday morning around 8:30 am. He did not return my phone call until around 5:30 Sunday evening. I missed the call but he said "hey susan, sam here, just returning your phone call, just got to californina, luggage problems again, well if you havent heard from the dealership by now then you didnt get a job, so dont waste your time in going up there on monday morning, good luck, bye."

well after hearing that voicemail i was in shock. I thought I had a job, not you didnt get a job. I didnt apply to do training for 3 days to not have a job. It is like going into boot camp and then finishing it and then being told you're not in the military. Come on, I got scammed and jipped.

It is not just me, in fact I have been talking to others from my training class, the ones that I have been communicating with are just as upset. $700 dollars for nothing and I still have to pay it back, for nothing.

Atleast 17 of us are without a job. I have no hard feelings towards the ones that got in the door, they deserved to be there too. Point is we were all told we had a job here and then we find out we really dont. Now we have to do the placemet email to give them a list of 5 dealerships we want to work at in this area. That is not what I nor others bargained for here. I was told I had a job, I shouldnt have to wait 5 days now to see if they can find me a job with another car dealership but yet there is no guarantee of anything.

Williams and Associates should be ashamed of themselves to lead people on to believe something that is not true and not happening. I feel that the training needs to stop because it is just breaking hearts. I also feel that Sams' boss should be taking matters into his own hands. Honestly, what is it going to take for this company to understand the crime they are commiting here. Why hasn't someone from Williams and Associates contacted me or others.

I have called Sams' boss and he has not returned my phone call. I also feel that Mr. And Mrs. Williams should be on the first flight to Fort Walton Beach and be taking care of this matter and talking to the trainees that got scammed and lied to. I feel everyone needs to be aware of this company, they just want your money and they dont care if you have a job or not. Please do the math, 24 people times $698 a person=$16,752.00 for 3 days of talking to people. WOW! That is a pretty good income right there.

We also were guaranteed a $300 dollar check a week. $3600 for paid training for 12 weeks. We were told not to worry about anything and that on Friday we would be getting our first check. That would have been nice but that wasn't true either.

Well I think this is it for now. Scammed and Lied to by the number 2 training program for the automobile industry in the United States. I don't want this to happen to anyone else and I think some action needs to take place so no one else has to go through this. The ones from my training class would like to see something happen and we shouldnt have to pay the $700 for no job. Thank you
