I had Value Brake repair my 18 year old son's 88 Chev truck. Long story short. 5 weeks later, his brakes failed and the line burst as he was pulling out onto a very busy intersection. Fortunately he was able to stop by pulling onto grass.
I contacted another repair shop and was shocked at the finding bu the mechanic. There were 3 things done incorrectly that caused the brake line to fail. I have the cylinders as proof. The repair and towing was almost $300.
I left messages 3 times for Jay, a Manager in Jax to call. A month passed and never a reply from him. I then sent certified mail, the entire report, receipts, etc to Don Ropelt, President, I think of Value Brake in Jax. He called me 2 days later and assured a check for $216 would be mailed that day. The date for this was July 16th. As of today, August 1, I have called and spoke to Meagan, his assistant, and she was to call back. That was 2 days ago.
Please do not trust Value Brake with your or your children's vehicle. It is dangerous.
