Coast To Coast Transmission - 24 Hour Transmission RIP-OFF INTERNET SCAM! Beware of this scam! Do not send your credit card information!

Coast to Coast Transmission/24 HR Transmission is an INTERNET FRAUD/SCAM! My initial conversation was with STEVE HOFFMAN (Sale Representative) who told me a TOTAL price of $1,597.00 which would include a REBUILT transmission, installation, labor, towage, and all taxes on July 13.

On July 18, Christy (a new Coordinator) called me to have me fax a signed copy of the receipts totaling $1597.00. I asked Christy prior to faxing the receipt, if that would be the total charges after speaking to the mechanic (Scott) at Speedy Transmission on at 6850 Buford Highway, Atlanta, Georgia and of course Christy calls back and states that the only charges to completely rebuild the transmission would be $1597.00.

Christy specifically stated that there were no unusual circumstances regarding my transmission. On Monday, July 23, I called to receive an update; THIS IS WHEN THE STORY STARTED CHANGING. Christy stated that Speedy Transmission would not fix it for the price that Coast to Coast Transmission normally charges so they would ship to Coast to Coast Transmission in Denton, Texas and still fix it for $1597.00.

Again, Christy said all of this would be included in the $1597.00. Christy also stated that it would be about two weeks before the car would be ready. I then spoke with Raylene (Manager) who said it would take about a week.

On Thursday, July 26, Raylene called to let me know that my new price was $4911.98! Triple what I agreed to! Because of 'hard' parts that my car needed. When I questioned Raylene, her story began to change. I told Raylene to send my transmission back to Atlanta. She said I would have to pay for the shipping at the cost of $110.00 each way for the transmission which was a decision Raylene made and said it would be included because this was a normal procedure that has been done before with other customers. Plus, if I did not get the transmission fixed with them I would have to pay a brokerage fee $895.00! And pay for the labor on my car in Atlanta!

However, I spoke with Scott at Speedy Transmission on July 26 and he informed me that he gave them the information about my transmission. Plus my parts are still in Atlanta. So they did not diagnose anything. Coast to Coast Transmission simply had the transmission shipped to Denton, Texas. Scott said he would do what he could in a fair manner to make sure the transmission was put back in the car, but I say BEWARE OF COAST TO COAST TRANSMISSION IN DENTON, TEXAS!

I have let Raylene know that I will be pursuing legal action as well as cancelling the charges on my credit card. Raylene refused to give me a merchant complaint form which the credit card company stated that the merchant should give the consumer. If they do not respond, the credit card company will contact them.

BEWARE OF COAST TO COAST TRANSMISSION IN DENTON, TEXAS!
STEVE, RAYLENE (the so called manager) and CHRISTY! For those of you who have had a problem with these people I suggest you do the same that I did and file complaints with the BBB, FTC (Federal Trade Commission), and the Attorney General of the of Texas! Because I am taking this to the next level!

Beware of coast to coast transmission in denton, texas!
