My daughter was having automotive problems with her car. We had taken it to a local dealership and they told us that the problem was with the transmission. We then called Coast to Coast Transmission which my husband found online.
I then started dealing with them. Thinking it was the transmission, I authorized a payment of 47.00 be taken out of my checking account. Then my credit card was charged 1250.00 for transmission repair. I was wrong when I went with a company that wanted to charge my account before I had the work done.
The car went to Suburban Automotive here in Springfield. The owner called us and told us that our problem was not a transmission problem. It was with the catalytic converter and the crankshaft sensor.
I had called a gentleman named Rich and he told me that the owner of Suburban Auto had called him and told him it was not a transmission problem. I also called Rich and he said that he would forward this to someone else but thought there would not be any problem. I have contacted my credit card company and they are aware of this problem (ripoff). I tried calling Rich a couple times and got no answer. I finally got an answer and he told me he did not understand why it had not been taken off my credit card.
I then called a different number and was informed that Rich no longer works for the company and Rhealyn is handling the work he use to do. She has never called me back. As soon as I get done writing this ripoff notice, I will try her again.
My first mistake was allowing a company to charge my credit card before the repairs were done. My second mistake is believing they would take care of this until I read some of these ripoff letters about Coast to Coast.
