We were served by a "nice' salesperson who was in a hurry to pick his wife up from the airport. We were told that they would 'give' us a 60k waranty to do business with them and we agreed on a price. We asked for the monthly payment and they added the cost retail cost of the 'free' warranty in with the payment. They moved us around and were in a hurry so we just signed the contract. No 3 day cooling off period for contracts in Florida. We called them and they said it was a mistake but the next day they wouldn't give us the warranty - just offered us a better warranty. We figured that we 'bought the car' and would accept, at least, the better waranty and 'eat the rest'.
We filled out a Toyota survey and stated that we felt that they were dishonest in the first place to hide charges in with the monthly payments. The salesman called us and made us feel like the scum of the earth. We were taking food out of his family's mouth by causing him to lose his bonus for the year.
We called Toyota and they said that Palm is an independant company and can do anything they want to sell a car. Toyota doesn't care if the dealer calls the customer to complain about being called the scum of the earth. They just said it was a 'contractual' issue.
We pay our bill - and admit to our mistakes - and pay for them!!!
We can't believe a large company can treat customers as such and stay in business.
