I Bought a Kia Rio from McCauley Chevrolet in March Swore perfect condition. When arrived at 2:30 A. M car wasnt visible next morning the car had hail damage. I went to wash the car and the paint pealed off. I called the company very rude. Said I bought the car. I addressed Lemon Law to the company. Tim the owner of the car lot. Said they are no such thing in TN.
I drove the car to Dredsen, TN where McCauley Chevrolet is located left the car on car lot. I let the company know I was coming. They closed early. (what a coincidince) I payed 1000.00 down. Payed 500.00 by check that day. He said for me to write a check and date it for the next month so I did like a fool. The dates had been changed on the checks I have carbon copies. Wasn't aware of the dates being chaged until my bank addressed this to me I explained this to Tony Manager and he said had to be the drivers that changed the dates. I told them I only had 500.00 in my account Tony the manager said to make the check out a month later and swore the check would be cashed on that date. Was very leary of this. But I trusted this company. This company cashed both checks a day apart. Of course the first check went thru the second check did not. Check was sent back to McCauley Chevrolet. Tim (the owner became very angry when the car was on his lot the next morning. He said I will ruin your credit. The car will set here till Drive Financial in Dallas, Texas repose this car.
I called the D. A in Dredsen and talked to this man. About the problem I was having with this company. Two weeks later Tim the owner of McCauley called me and at first said McCauley Chevrolet was the highest payed company in dredsen and they wasn't worried about it. I addressed to him I had a lawyer on this case, Tim then said because my dad is a preacher I will be honest and fix this problem. I said your dad has nothing to do with this issue. He replied he would do a reverse on the loan.
In May the car loan was payed off. Had taken the company over a month to do this. I called Tim before this loan was payed off and addressed that the loan was not payed off yet. And that I wanted my money back. He said he would refund my money. I received 500.00 from this company. I received a call from a company in California which was an agency for bad checks. The lady addressed that they received a check for 500.00 from McCauley Chevrolet to be collected. I explained to her the problem and I called Tim at McCauley. He said he would pay this check off and never has and now this is reported on my credit report..
This comapnay is very dishonest and a ripoff. They approve everyone thru Drive financial for people who have bad or problem credit. I feel sorry for anyone who will get caught up in this company. This company sold this car to another person. I feel sorry for this person. The sales man who sold me the car called me and said that was the only reason why this company payed this loan off because of resale to another individual. And he was right I checked in on the Vin number and the car was refinanced to a different customer. Please help me to help others to keep from getting caught up in this situation as I have.
