For many years we have used JIFFY LUBE almost exclusively for our oil changes in our two vehicles. On May 23 our 1994 Bronco was serviced. Approximately one month later my wife noted a strange sound which seemed to eminate from the rear end. This was initially thought to be the new tires we had recently had installed. Upon checking the rear end I found it to be totally dry of fluid and filled with metal shavings.
We contacted the Store whereupon the new Mgr. (Nash) indicated we should bring it in and he would check it out. It was taken in and the oil completely changed. We were told to drive it for a couple of days to see if the higher viscosity of the synthetic oil might correct the problem. No such luck.
Nash indicated to us that it was their fault as we that was part of the service indicated on their records performed. He took it to the Div. Mgr. Jeff who spent the last two months putting us off and telling us that Corporate hadn't made a decision, etc., etc. We were finally told on approx. August 12 that it wasn't their fault and that we were just trying to get something for nothing!
It is our intention to put signs on the Bronco indicating what type of service we received and park it in the parking lot next to their store all day while my wife is at work close by. I fault everyone except the Store Mgr. And his employees who indicated on several occasions that it was their fault and they should take care of fixing it. Jeff the Div. Or Regional Mgr. Is a jerk!!!
