So I had just traveled from Las Vegas to Austin Texas and thought that I would get my car's oil changed, tires rotated, etc. So I went to Jiffy Lube #3177,161 Ranch Road 20 South Lakeway, TX 78732.
I had the oil changed, tires rotated and filter changed. Unfortunately, after the service they mentioned that a lug nut was missing. I was not to worried at first but thought it was a little strange because the car had just gone through a thorough inspection at the dealership a couple of weeks before. Needless to say he mentioned taht we could go to the parts store and get a new lug and put it on. So we did this and then realized in trying to put it on that the "stump" had been stripped. So we went back to Jiffy lube to have them put it on. He went to work with the power tool and proceeded to strip the new lug and then said that hey I cannot do it you need to go to Discount Tire to get it fixed. Now we had already put two and two together that he had striped the he stump and had said that it was missing a lug to cover his base. So of to discount tire where they proceeded to tell us that they do not do that kind of work. However, they referred us to a brake specialist that would. Needless to say the experience at Jiffy Lube was less than enjoyable. You do not like to take a car in only to have someone screw it up! Forunately we are getting it resolved but I will not be going back to Jiffy Lube ever again.
