You would think Jiffy Lube would be trying to straighten up its act after it was caught scamming customers in 2006. Nope, essentially same old M.O. I needed an oil change and I had a coupon from Jiffy Lube that clearly said $10 off your next oil change. I took my car to Jiffy Lube in Cameron Park CA and presented the coupon to the clerk. The clerk then told me that Jiffy Lube doesn't give me the $10 off at the time of service, rather, that I would have to mail the coupon in to Jiffy Lube with the receipt showing that the work had been done. Well, I felt a little ripped-off right there because I didn't think that I should have to go through the hassle of mailing in a coupon to get the $10 off that Jiffy Lube promised. But it doesn't stop there - it turns out that the $10 coupon does't apply to my oil change at all and is really only a credit toward my next oil change with Jiffy Lube. So my question to Jiffy Lube is what the hell part of "next oil change" do you have trouble understanding? Or is this just another one of your scams to get customers in the door under the pretense that you are going to save them money? My only reasonable conclusion is that Jiffy Lube has zero integrity and will stop at nothing in its scheming to separate you from your money.
